Long Time no Post!!

Sorry not very good at this keeping up to date thing!!!

I had a big finish yesterday when I finished a long standing large UFO - AOY Carousel.

I am hoping to get this framed really soon - finances permitting!

On to another UFO now.

A Monday Update

I've not posted for awhile, but I have been rather busy. Between working, studying, housework, family, knitting dolls clothes and stitching the hours and days just fly by!

I have found the time to finish a couple of designs and have started work on another of the 3D Cottages I love.

Half Term Week

Despite having a week off, it's been really busy. A day shopping, a day with Katie's friend over, a day with the In-laws and then finally got a day at home yesterday. Have spent the week alternating between stitching and knitting dolls clothes. Here's the two stitching projects I've been working on.

It's Snowing here!

It started snowing here this afternoon and hasn't stopped, so what a good excuse to stay in and stitch!

I was looking for something to do today and in my UFO's came across this Winnie the Pooh one, so have picked that up to work on this evening.

Finished part of a year long SAL

Finished the first part of a year long SAL. Cool Cats has four seasonal cats from the wonderful designs of Margaret Sherry. I am pleased with how it has turned out on the coloured material I used, although I am not sure about the colour of the lettering.

Weekend's Work

I had a lovely weekend, as I got loads of stitching time in! I got some time to work on the Sarah Kay project (see the page for update photo). I also started and finished a Tigger Bookmark

This morning I had a change to make up a couple of cards I had finished.

Finished another piece yesterday. Flat Out - a wonderful cute puppy called Sam and his little mouse friend.

Finished 2011 SAL

I've finished the Disney 2011 SAL. Really pleased with it and my daughter can't wait for me to get it framed for her bedroom!

Happy Christmas

I can finally share the presents I have been working on all year!!

The first one is a Margaret Sherry design from the Little Kate series. This is the second one I've done for my daughter, Katie.

This is the Stitcher's Sampler that I did for my best friend, Jenni (a fellow stitcher!).

This is the Birdtable one I've done for my In-laws, following the real birdtable that my husband built for them last year.

Stitching Weekend

This is some of the stitching I did over the weekend. I was really happy to get loads of time for my favourite activity.

I also did some work on a Christmas card and also on a Christmas present (so no pictures, as I don't want to spoil the surprise!!!)

Wish every weekend could be the same!!!

Current Work in Progress

This is one of my current projects, its called the Book of Ink Circles and was a free mystery SAL started back in 2008 (I'm a bit behind!!!) from a wonderful designer Tracy at Ink Circles (www.inkcircles.com).

If you are interested in Celtic designs it's a wonderful site to visit as she has some really beautiful designs.

A new Design

Thought you might be interested to see this, it's a Biscornu that I designed for the Stitch A Little website. You'll find the chart on there for sale. This is my first Biscornu design and I am rather pleased with it. I used beads in the design and I like the way they show up.

I hope to do a few more of these designs soon.

October finish!

This little finish was the October SAL for a MS group I belong to.

I'm busy working on some of my own new designs as well as trying to finish some Christmas presents and cards. Busy as usual!!!

A little Finish

I finished the free Margaret Sherry kit from the latest WOCS. I love the design but found it difficult working all the half cross stitches on 16 count material, found it easier to use the sharper embroidery needle for all the stitching. I am pleased with how it turned out and I love the card mount that came with the kit. Another lovely design from my favourite designer.

Big Finish

I finally finished this Country Cottage design in 2010 and it only took me 15 years to complete - definitely my longest UFO ever. It's 12" x 12" and every inch is stitched. I loved working on the design as it was easy to stitch. My best friend Jenni got this framed for my Christmas present, and it's got to be my favourite large design.

As stitching is my main hobby and obsession, I wanted to share my thoughts and projects with anyone daft enough to want to look!!!

I've created a photo album of completed work - just follow the link: https://picasaweb.google.com/110088183479127149029. The batteries on my camera ran out, so will get some more and then add the pictures of the finished work around the house.

I always seem to have too many projects on the go, at the moment I am swapping between Tinkerbell ABC, Train at Station (large design in last years Cross Stitch Collection), Birdtable (from latest Cross Stitch Collection) and Christmas cards. I wish I had more time to stitch!!
